HEYTEA Guides

The price table answers what a drink costs. These pieces answer the questions it cannot: which of the 47 drinks to order first, which ones sit under 150 calories, which work without dairy, and how well the pricing on this board holds up.

What These Guides Are For

A menu page tells you a drink is $5.49 and 30 calories. That is useful and it is also where most sites in this category stop. The gap it leaves is everything a person actually wants to know standing at a counter with a queue behind them.

These pieces cover that gap. Which drink makes sense first if you have never had cheese tea. What the real options are if you are avoiding dairy and every second drink has a cream cheese cap on it. Where the money stops buying anything on a board that runs to $9.99.

Each one works from the same dataset as the rest of the site, so the numbers in a guide and the numbers in a price table are always the same numbers. Nothing here is written to fill a page.

Start Here If You Have Never Been

Four things about this menu that catch first time customers out, each covered in more depth in the guides above.

Cheese cloud is savoury

The cap on a Cloud drink is salted cream cheese foam, not sweetened whipped cream. People expecting dessert get something closer to a salted crema, which is why the cheapest way to try it is $5.49 rather than $9.99.

One word changes the drink

Boom means pressed fruit over tea. Cloud means the same drink with a dairy cap on top. Crisp Grape Boom and Cloud Crisp Grape share a fruit and a tea, and only one of them is dairy free.

There is only one size

Every drink is 16 oz. The $4.50 spread across the board is what goes into the cup, not how much of it there is, which is unusual enough to change how you read the price list.

Sugar level is free, toppings are not

Five sugar settings and three ice settings cost nothing. Toppings run $0.49 to $1.99, and two of them can cost more than the drink underneath.

How These Guides Are Written

Every figure quoted in a guide comes from the same dataset that feeds the price tables on the rest of this site. When a price changes, it changes in one place and every guide that mentions it updates with the next build. A guide on this site cannot drift out of step with a menu page on it.

Where a guide expresses an opinion, it says so and shows the arithmetic behind it. The value piece names the drinks we think are poor value and puts the price gap next to them. That is a more useful thing to read than a list of superlatives, and it is easier to argue with, which is the point.

What you will not find here is a promo code page, a coupon roundup or a list of deals. Offers on this chain change constantly and are usually city specific, so anything written down would be stale before it was useful. The delivery page explains where current offers actually live.

Caffeine figures in these guides are estimates, derived from the tea base and its brew strength, and they are labelled as estimates every time they appear. HEYTEA does not publish per drink caffeine for the US market, and a precise number nobody measured would read as more authoritative while being less true. The about page sets out the full method.

What Each Guide Answers

Four pieces, each built around a question the price board cannot answer on its own.

Best HEYTEA drinks to order

Eight picks from $5.49 to $9.99, each chosen because it demonstrates something the menu does rather than because it sells well. Covers what to order first if you have never had cheese tea, which two drinks to avoid on a first visit and why, and the three cups that between them explain the whole board.

Low calorie HEYTEA drinks

Every drink at or under 150 calories with its price, plus the three levers that take a cup lower: the sugar setting, swapping a cap, and picking a drink that is already light. Also explains why asking for less ice does the opposite of what people assume, and ranks all 12 toppings by calories.

Dairy free HEYTEA drinks

The menu splits three ways here, not two: drinks that are already dairy free, drinks an oat milk swap converts, and drinks that no modification can fix because the cap itself is cream cheese. Includes the one word that changes a drink from dairy free to not, which is the mistake people make most often.

Is HEYTEA worth the price

An argued answer rather than a hedge. Names where the premium buys something real, names the three places it stops buying anything, and shows the arithmetic behind both. Includes a cents per calorie table and the honest note that the measure breaks down on deliberately light drinks.

Or Skip Straight to the Numbers

Every drink, every topping, every price and calorie count, filterable and sortable on one page.
